Dante Ramos, a senior editor for The Atlantic’s Ideas section, will lead a session on the art and craft of op-ed writing. He’ll discuss how to vet ideas, the dos and don’ts of writing and structure, the best way to pitch and what editors are looking for when considering submissions. Ramos has worked for four years at The Atlantic’s Ideas section, a top destination for analysis, essays, and commentary on key issues of the day. Prior to that, Ramos worked for the Boston Globe, where he led the Ideas section and, earlier, served as deputy editor of the paper's editorial page. In 2014, he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He previously served as the deputy editorial page editor of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
