Learn how to translate complex scientific ideas and research findings into accessible communications for the general public and broad scientific audiences. Panelists will discuss their experiences in developing effective ways to present complex information, limit jargon, and avoid oversimplification, followed by an audience Q&A. The faculty panelists are Susan Goldin-Meadow, Beardsley Ruml Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Psychology and Committee on Human Development, and Neil H. Shubin, Robert R. Bensley Distinguished Service Professor of Organismal Biology and Anatomy. The session will be moderated by Karen Kim, Vice Provost for Research.
