Podcasts are an extremely popular medium with more than 64% of the US population having listened to a podcast. Scholars frequently use podcasts to share information about their research and expertise. Join Tom Ginsburg, the Leo Spitz Distinguished Service Professor of International Law and co-host of Entitled, and Matthew Hodapp, assistant director of the award-winning University of Chicago Podcast Network (UCPN), for a firsthand account of launching and maintaining a podcast as a scholar. This session will include information on show development, time commitment, necessary resources, goals and metrics, and tips for being a good podcast guest. Note that the session will focus on how to develop a podcast internally using resources from your team/department.

This session is part of the 2023 University of Chicago Podcast Festival hosted on campus October 3 – 5 with live recordings of many UCPN shows and featuring special guests.
