The Office of Research Development (ORD) provides comprehensive strategic support to secure research funding. The office can help with proposal development, finding funding, and research strategy. 

The ORD offers support during the entire pre-award timeline – from a nascent idea and teaming to proposal submission and site review preparation. They administer the Big Ideas Generator (BIG) seed funding program, coordinate the internal competition for limited funding opportunities, and manage the appointments of researchers into the UChicago Consortium for Advanced Science and Engineering (CASE).
