University-Affiliated Schools
University of Chicago Laboratory Schools
Founded by the renowned educator John Dewey in 1896 and located on the UChicago campus in Hyde Park, the Laboratory Schools provide an intellectually stimulating environment that promotes curiosity, inquiry, creativity, and complex problem-solving.
- University Laboratory Schools Benefit (Tuition Remission Benefit): Eligible University employees may receive at least 50% tuition remission for their children who attend the Lab Schools.

Launched in 1998 by a group of University faculty and community leaders, the UChicago Charter School (UCCS) is comprised of three campuses on the South Side of Chicago, serving approximately 1,500 students in Pre-Kindergarten through high school. UCCS emphasizes college readiness, cultural awareness, and leadership development. UCCS is a public, tuition free school.
