As a University of Chicago faculty member, you have an opportunity to communicate about your research and scholarship with peers, non-academic audiences, and the public. This can range from presenting at a conference to giving testimony to engaging with media and more. By doing so, you can become someone who is frequently called upon to share information as an expert in your field.

Learning how to share your research with the public will be important. This session will feature Provost Ka Yee C. Lee discussing the importance of communicating about academic research and scholarship. She will be joined in conversation with Paul M. Rand, Vice President for Communications, who will provide a brief overview of the role of communications resources and related opportunities at the University. The session is part of the Academic Communicators Network.
