Learn what makes an attractive book proposal from editors at UChicago Press. In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn about the purpose of book proposals, discover what editors look for, and find out what editors avoid. Attendees are invited to submit their own two-page write-up in advance of the session, regardless of time to manuscript completion. These write-ups will be read by a Press editor prior to the workshop. Individual feedback may be given at the end of the session, if time allows. Due to the personalized nature of this workshop, attendance will be capped at 20 participants. This session will be led by Karen Merikangas Darling and Timothy Mennel, Senior Editors at UChicago Press.
