Communicating research and complex ideas during a media interview or a presentation is an essential skill for those who want to increase visibility of their work, reach potential donors, or influence public opinion and policy. In this training session, Jeremy Manier, assistant vice president of university communications, Marielle Sainvilus, director of public affairs, and Colleen Mastony, director of media relations, will share easy-to-learn techniques. They’ll explain what reporters look for in a story, what to expect in an interview, how to handle tough questions, and how to ensure you deliver your message and leverage media opportunities to reach your larger strategic goals.
