In today’s diverse and interconnected academic world, faculty frequently collaborate with individuals with different backgrounds and identities. These dimensions of diversity can impact your communication style and affect how your message is perceived and understood. This session will explore the significance of inclusive communication and its importance in academic settings. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples tailored to university contexts, you'll discover inclusive communication and language skills that can amplify collaboration with colleagues and media.

This session will be led by Sarah Neville, Director and Partner of Open Line Communications, a consultancy and training firm focused on professional communication with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
