Research shows tremendous gains in learning when students interact with each other, their faculty members, and new ideas within a diverse student population. However, it can be challenging to ensure that, in such a classroom setting, all students discuss, interrogate, inquire, and question effectively. This workshop will focus on inclusive engagement and provide strategies for structuring learning that are productive for all students. This workshop will be led by Cheryl Richardson, Associate Director for Inclusive Teaching Initiatives at the Chicago Center for Teaching.
