As a University of Chicago faculty member, you have an opportunity to communicate about your research and scholarship with peers, non-academic audiences, and the general public. This can range from presenting at a conference to giving testimony to engaging with media and more. By doing so, you can amplify the impact of your work and the influence of your field in the public discourse. This session will feature Provost Katherine Baicker discussing the importance of communicating about academic research and maximizing opportunities to do so. She will be joined in conversation with Paul M. Rand, Vice President for Communications, who will provide a brief overview of the role of communications resources and related opportunities at the University.
