Podcasts are a fast-growing medium with more than 40% of Americans ages 12 and up describing themselves as monthly listeners. They are frequently used by scholars to share information about their research and expertise. Join Claudia M. Flores, Clinical Professor of Law, Director of the Global Human Rights Clinic, and co-host of Entitled, and Matthew Hodapp, the University of Chicago’s senior podcast producer, for a firsthand account of launching a podcast as a scholar. This session will include information on show development, time commitment and resources, goals and metrics, and tips for being a good podcast guest. Note that the session will not include detailed information about the technical aspects of podcast production.
