The Academic Communicators Network (ACN) Excellence Awards recognize faculty and other academics who are actively and effectively communicating about their research and scholarship to target audiences. This could include any form of public engagement, broadly construed, such as work with news media, other forms of digital communication, op-ed writing, etc. You can read more about last year's award winners here.

The ACN Excellence Awards are open to current University faculty, other academic appointees (OAAs) and postdoctoral researchers. Nominations should be for work done during the 2025-26 academic year. Nominations are due July 15, 2026 and winners will be announced during the fall quarter.
