Enjoy a 90-minute walking tour of Hyde Park focused on some architectural highlights of the neighborhood and the history of the Urban Renewal of the 1950s and 1960s. The tour will be led by Gayle Mckeen, Associate Director and Managing Editor of the Leo Strauss Center and a docent with the Chicago Architectural Center.

Faculty are encouraged to bring their partners. The tour will cover two miles along this route with frequent stops in front of notable buildings and along 55th Street. Please wear comfortable shoes. In case of rain, please dress appropriately and bring an umbrella. The tour will end at Build Coffee with warm drinks and refreshments.
