Diversifying course content can increase student motivation and develop critical thinking skills, and carefully designing a syllabus document can be the beginning of creating a welcoming climate. This workshop will guide faculty in the development and implementation of inclusive strategies for diversifying course content and designing a syllabus document. Participants will have time to begin developing or revising syllabi and receive initial feedback. This session will be led by Cheryl Richardson, Associate Director for Inclusive Teaching, Chicago Center for Teaching.
